Couples must apply together, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The office is closed daily from noon to 1 p.m. for lunch.

Marriage licenses are valid for 30 days.

The license must be obtained at least 24 hours prior to the wedding ceremony.

The fee for the license is $30 for Delaware residents and $60 for non residents.

Driver's license, with certificate, or other proof of identification is required.

If individuals are divorced or widowed, an original or a certified copy of the divorce decree or death certificate is required.

Special authorization required if on probation or parole.

Blood tests are no longer required.
